Hey there, beauties! 🌸
Today, I was watching the new series on Prime, Kevin Can F** Himself*.
As I sat there, I found myself relating to the lead character in so many moments. It hit me how we often go through life on autopilot, tackling daily tasks and pouring our energy into work, family, and relationships—sometimes even overachieving—yet feeling undervalued.
In the midst of all this, many of us experience burnout. As women balancing work, family, and countless other responsibilities, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and push those feelings aside.
Unfortunately, it often goes unnoticed until it becomes too much to handle.
So, today I thought let me share some burnout signs that I’ve learned to recognize, so you can take a step back and prioritize your well-being.

SO HOW TO RECOGNIZE BURNOUT SIGNS ?
1. Emotional Exhaustion
Do you often feel like you’ve run out of steam?
Emotional exhaustion is one of the first signs of burnout. If you find yourself feeling drained, hopeless, or even tearful over little things, it’s time to pause and reflect. It’s okay to admit that you need a break—trust me, we all do!
2. Decreased Performance
Have you noticed that tasks you used to tackle with ease now feel like climbing a mountain? Whether it’s work projects or family obligations, decreased performance is a clear indicator of burnout.
You might feel distracted or unproductive, and that’s frustrating! Remember, it’s not a reflection of your abilities; it’s a sign you need to recharge.
3. Physical Symptoms
Let’s not forget that burnout can show up in our bodies too.
Are you experiencing headaches, stomach issues, or chronic fatigue? These physical symptoms are your body’s way of saying, “Hey, I need some TLC!” Listen to these signals and prioritize your health—it’s so important!
4. Increased Cynicism or Detachment
Feeling detached or cynical about work or family life?
This is another common burnout sign. You might find yourself going through the motions, feeling disconnected from the things that once brought you joy.
If you’re feeling this way, try to reconnect with your passions and interests. It’s okay to seek support from friends or family during this time.
5. Neglecting Self-Care
When life gets hectic, self-care often falls to the wayside.
If you’ve been skipping meals, neglecting exercise, or avoiding activities that lift your spirits, that’s a big warning sign of burnout.
Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Schedule time for yourself, even if it’s just a few moments a day.
6. Feeling Overwhelmed by Responsibilities
Does your to-do list feel never-ending?
If the thought of your responsibilities makes you want to hide under the blankets, you’re likely experiencing burnout. It’s crucial to assess your commitments and ask for help when needed.
You don’t have to do it all alone—sharing the load can make a huge difference!
7. Social Withdrawal
Finally, if you’re pulling away from friends and family, that’s another indicator of burnout.
It can be tempting to isolate yourself, and to be honest I am still trying to change my habit from this one. It was one of the first changes my husband recognized about me since I am quite a chatty one amongst us.
But connection is so important.
Reach out to a friend or loved one—even just a chat over coffee can help lighten the load.
Now that we’ve covered the key burnout signs, let’s talk about how to take action if you recognize these feelings in yourself. Here are some friendly tips:

Take Breaks: Make it a habit to step away from work or chores. Even a short walk or a few deep breaths can do wonders.
Seek Support: Open up to someone you trust about what you’re feeling. Sharing can help lift that heavy weight off your shoulders.
Set Boundaries: Don’t be afraid to say no! Focus on what truly matters and let go of the rest.
Prioritize Self-Care: Schedule time for things that bring you joy—whether that’s reading, pampering yourself, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.
Remember, recognizing burnout is the first step to taking care of yourself.
You are not alone in this journey, and it’s completely okay to prioritize your well-being. We all need to take a breather sometimes, and that’s perfectly normal.
You’ve got this! 💖
